For years, the technology behind laser tag has remained unchanged. Laserforce has worked with Infinity Design on multiple projects over the past years, but the re-design of their Battlesuit and Phaser was the most exciting to date.
The introduction of a 5” display on the chest pack, and a 3.5” touch screen on the phaser increases game-play significantly. It allows the players to customise logos, avatars, and motion backgrounds. The dynamic in-game graphics, animations and ability to check scores and activate new abilities during a game increases the player engagement and overall game-play experience which is something that no other product on the market offers.
The Phaser and chest pack both incorporate aggressive styling with over-moulded soft-touch details for comfort and durability. Integrated LED lighting with a large spectrum of customisable colours identifies team players, the opposition, and playing status.
Laserforce was established in 1987 and has since become a laser tag pioneer in terms of manufacturing and operations. Their first Laserforce center is still the world’s longest running site, and they supply their product globally, with Laserforce sites operating throughout America, England and Australia.
The project was not without its challenges. The Infinity team was asked to integrate a mix of new and existing technology, into a product that would need to stand the test of time both functionally and aesthetically.
The product was launched in June 2018, with Laserforce receiving very positive response from the market and their loyal network of players.
